An international development organisation based in the Netherlands, won awards for outdoor advertising grappling with global poverty. Originally launched by a Dutch aid organization eight years ago, this campaign is very interesting, and I wanted to share. The team conducting the campaign is still trying to get their needs by working with African natives.
They show in a provacative manner, how small is the money remains for the basic needs of people in Africa, comparing to the money spent for luxury goods by many people, African natives, like the «modern» world's models, posing like models and various objects (bags, lotions, sunglasses) and prices are written. Below the prices, roughly the cost of basic necessities needed for survival of these people is written. These needs include basic household with 50 liters of clean water, and even access to water facilities, including requirements such as 1 weekly meal. The price of each of them is totally much cheaper than the modern life of luxury…
Of course, the campaign is not just histrionics. Money is collected for the «People in need of» campaign and distributed to the countries in Africa for creating resources
Seems like, many problems about humanity, in fact can be solved much easier than you might think, with a little bit consideration… However, ignoring these issues, are far more easier than to go over them. «Modern» world's people, saying «our concern is enough for us,» and just prefer to turn their back on these issues.
Oh woman don't you have arms? Why do you open your legs to anybody who says «I love you»?"
Above all, always be capable of feeling deeply any injustice committed against anyone, anywhere in the world. This is the most beautiful quality in a revolutionary.
